When Hyundai launched its model i10, it was greeted with great sales and reviews. Hyundai plans to bring in another model of the ‘i’ series to increase its market share. The i20 will be launched in November, but will be unveiled officially at the upcoming Paris auto show. Hyundai plans to produce the i20 in India, sell it in India and then export it to other countries from India.

The 2 possible engines that can make it to India is the 1.2L petrol engine that produces 78bhp and a 1.4L Diesel engine that produces 90bhp. The i20 is expected to be longer, wider and roomier than the Hyundai Getz.

The i20 looks amazing especially the character lines at the sides. Hyundai finally got to design a great car with great curves and lines. The front is equipped with a i10-like chrome grille and sporty fog lamps. The push back headlights looks great along with the character lines in the hood. The tail-lights reminds me of one of the Citroen cars i had seen, but who cares as long as it looks good to me! Like i said, the lines and curves at the side are really impressive for a car that is going to replace the Getz!

The interiors look great in the i20 even though its in black. The long air vents, the designed instrument console and the impressive steering wheel looks great! The i20 seems to come with an automatic climate control and an embedded music system. The steering wheel is embedded with audio keys.

The car is said to be available with 6 airbags which might reduce to 2 airbags when released in India. ABS(Anti-lock Braking System), EBD(Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), electronic stability control, active head rests and seat belt pretensioners are going to be on the safety list of the i20.
