2009 Yamaha YZF R125 High Resolution Images
Previously, i wrote an article on the Yamaha YZF R125 here, informing Yamaha’s impressive plans in the coming years and mainly, the YZF R125. Yamaha Motors India had announced the launch of 2 new bikes from them, but had not named them. The YZF R125’s launch is a rumour that is being spread around which is said to be one of the 2 bikes Yamaha would be launching. The YZF R125 is launched in some countries like Israel and others countries in Europe.
As reported earlier here, the YZF R125, a 125cc bike is a previous option to its elderly YZF R15. The 125cc bike produces an incredible 15bhp and torque of 12Nm. And like the R15, the R125 will also be coming in 6-speed transmission. Till the official launch details are completely out, we request you to subscribe to our blog either through email here or here. Till then we have high resolution pictures(below) of the YZF R125, which you would love to see.

I am Ajoy from kerala.i was exited when i saw yzf R15 in TV advertisment.But when i saw really i was sad to see its back parts including tale lamp & its thin tyer’s. I expect there will be good change to its back parts of R15.

THough thr is no such official confirmation but thy hav to keep rate near 70 otherwise y wud anyone purchase R-125 at 90-95k if Yamaha R-15 is alread thr wid 150 cc engine..thy will defintely target d market of pulsar n karizma (though no comparison wid 225cc).well,I was about to purchase honda stunner in one or 2 days..but now I think I shud wait for Yamaha-R125….plsss yamaha walo cost max 65-70 rakhna….nahi to papa paise nahi denge

com on guys… this is not any confirmed news…
r 125 is a bike made for European riders who don’t bother abt mileage.. note that it has 130 section rear tyres… it makes 15 bhp out of 125 cc…
that means it clearly dosent hav the mileage for releasing on Indian roads…
Second thing its price is way too high.. europen price-abt 3000 euros.. no way it wil be priced below 1 lakh..:(

load of crap…i dont think Yam would launch R125 here at all…and even if it does it would be atleast 1.5 to 2 L. Plz dnt make the mistake of comparing it with the R15..this is a much better bike and it was made for the guys of age grp between 18 to 21 for UK and there it costs 3000 pounds..id love it if they launch it here but it seems like a distant dream so far…so be real bros…

congratz ma fellow indians …. u lot are really lucky to get this bike for still far to cheap compared to £4069.00(RS 305175.00)in UK n about same all over europe … i lived in india fr quite a while aswell i wish i i cud buy it fr dat much lol…. but no doubt overall R125 is the best in its class. look at d design u dnt get dat heavy sports bike cutz n feel on d chasy ….. brilliant job by yamaha !!

yeah its true it was orignally designed for the UK Market the reason for 125cc placement and only 15bhp is coz this is the legal learner limit in UK for young riders 17 to 21. hence even if u obtain ur full licence before d age of 21 u still cant ride bikes exceeding dose limits.
i think what gives this bikes an edge in indan market is dat no other smaller engine street bikes have such an awesome design a propa sports bike appeal …. compare it to r15 luks so much better ……. well letz hope indian market trets it well !

I am still waiting for yamaha yzf r125 to launch in india! The main reason being that its better for tall guys!
Yamaha r15 lack behind in 2 things one is the rear tyre which makes the good look of the bike worse and other fact being that its too uncomfortable for tall people! Hope that r125 launches soon and give a great performance!

This is the all-new 2008 Yamaha YZF-R125 motorcycle which will go head to head with the top-selling Honda CBR125R.
The Yamaha YZF-R125 uses an all-new liquid-cooled 124cc, four-valve, short-stroke single cylinder engine, which is claimed to be the most powerful 125cc four-stroke motorcycle available. It has a six-speed gearbox and fuel injection, and a Yamaha YZF-R6 style stubby exhaust with twin catalysts is fitted.
A full size Deltabox beam frame is used to make the Yamaha YZF-R125 feel and ride closer to a full size bike than the Honda CBR125R, and an aluminium ‘banana’ style swingarm, 33mm diameter forks and a 292mm brake disc/Brembo caliper and wide tyres complete the mini-sportsbike chassis.
The styling is close to the new 2008 Yamaha YZF-R6 – the short tail and aggressive looking twin headlight fairing are almost indistinguishable from the 600 at distance. Colours are blue/black, red/white, grey/black or yellow/black.

Its foolery to wait for this bike.. Yamaha R125 and Honda CBR150R are 2 superb bikes but both will come by the end of this year or may be next year.. But by next year,v wl have even more choices as bikes frm MAHINDRA and Volkswagon will hit the Indian market… The Best Buy Right Now is undoubtedly KARIZMA ZMR… Though if ur budget is low, just opt for Pulsar 150 or 200 without thinking a sec..
